There are moments when life doesn’t feel like something you’re doing…
but something you’re remembering.
This weekend, I stepped into a painting class, and something in me softened immediately…
Not because everything was perfect, but because I wasn’t performing anything. I was just creating.
It started with charcoal on fabric. No pressure. No expectation. Just a line becoming form. Then paint layering slowly, almost like something inside me was finding its way out through my hands.
Hours passed. Four to six, maybe more if time mattered. But it didn’t.
There was no role to hold. No list to manage. No noise asking for attention. Just presence. Just breath. Just color meeting surface.
And I noticed something simple but powerful:
When a person is fully inside their creation, they return to themselves.
Not the version shaped by responsibility or routine. But the one that existed before all of that. The one that still knows how to play, explore, and begin again without fear.
When I finished, I didn’t want to put the jacket away. I brought it home and placed it where I could see it immediately. Not hidden. Not stored. Visible.
Like a reminder.
Not just of what I made, but of what happens when I stop leaving myself behind.
And maybe that’s what creativity really is — not the final object, but the moment we come back into ourselves without resistance.
For me, it started in a painting class.
Something simple. A jacket. Charcoal. Paint. Fabric slowly turning into form under my hands. No pressure to perform. No expectation to be anything other than present.
And somewhere in those hours, something softened.
When you finally stop resisting your call, something quiet begins to surface. Not as a thought, but as a feeling in the body. A release. Like letting go of a fight you didn’t fully realize you were in.
The fight is not always visible. Sometimes it is the effort to become someone else. To fit into what life, society, or expectation seems to define as success, enough, or worthy. To keep up. To prove. To adjust yourself until you disappear a little in the process.
But underneath all of that, there is a current.
And it does not come from pressure. It does not come from recognition. It moves from somewhere deeper. From the heart. From the place inside you that was never asking to be more—only asking to be true.
In that painting class, time stopped mattering. Four, maybe six hours. No roles to hold. No noise to answer. Just breath, color, movement, and something returning.
And I realized something simple:
When you stop resisting your own current, you don’t lose direction—you find peace.
Peace is not something you chase. It appears when the internal war quiets.
And purpose begins to shift too. It is no longer shaped by money, recognition, or external validation. It becomes something far more intimate.
The purpose of being you. For you.
Not as performance. Not as proof. Not as something to earn.
Maybe Wave 39 is about stopping the fight to become what society expects you to be, or what you think you should be… and allowing yourself to become who you were meant to be.
As an alignment.
And in that alignment, life stops feeling like resistance.
It starts feeling like return.
Not to who you should be…
but to who you already are.
